What do you put on the corner of a block full of local boutique shops? A Burger King, of course!

BK is moving in to the old Blenz location at Johnson & Douglas. Granted there is a Subway right next to it, but this is still going to be an eyesore. Why couldn't we have gotten something we needed, like a breakfast spot or a hair salon? OK that's not very funny, but the point is anything else would have been better.

What do you think of this — good, bad, or indifferent?

Since this is a blog on the internet, I think it needs at least one cat photo.

I snapped this at Meg's mom's house last weekend. Annie is the model and Jake is the lurker. I like it because it sort of sums up their personalities: Annie is more personable whereas Jake is a bit shy.

Meg made dinner the other night with careful attention paid to both appearance and flavour. The result was as delicious as it was attractive.

Near Johnson & Vancouver, I believe. If there are a lot of photos from Johnson Street, it's because that's the route I take to work :)

Well, it has been a while. 2 months to be exact. I have not abandoned this blog, the past few months have just been filled with simple distractions. I started a new job in February which I've been very focused on, and then the NHL playoffs happened, which is basically a 2 month black hole of extra-curricular productivity for me (and no, I don't want to talk about how it ended, *sob*).

Anyway, as you know from where we left off, I have a new camera and have been carting it around with me quite often. I just bought Olympus' awesome electronic viewfinder for it:

The direction this blog was taking before my hiatus was as more of a photoblog, and I'd like to continue that trend. Photos will remain focused around design, typography, and the interesting pieces of culture found around town.
